Republic Day Speech - 1:

Good morning to my venerable headmaster Madam, my venerable Sir, and Madam, and to all my classmates. I would like to thank you for giving such a great opportunity to speak something on our Republic Day. My name is Anant Srivastava and I study in class 6.

Today, all of us have gathered here to celebrate the 71st Republic Day of our nation. This is a great and auspicious occasion for all of us. We should congratulate each other and pray to God for the development and prosperity of our nation. We celebrate Republic Day in India every year on 26 January because the Constitution of India came into force on this day. We have been continuously celebrating the Republic Day of India since 1950 because the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950.

India is a democratic country where the people are authorized to choose their leader to lead the country. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the first President of India. Ever since we gained independence from British rule in 1947, our country has developed a lot and has been counted among powerful countries. Along with development, some shortcomings have also arisen such as inequality, poverty, unemployment, corruption, illiteracy, etc. To make our country one of the best countries in the world, today we need to take a pledge to solve such problems in society.

Thank you, Jai Hind!

Republic Day Speech - 2:

Good morning everyone. My name is Anant Srivastava and I study in class 6. As we all know that we have gathered here on the very special occasion of our nation, which is called Republic Day. I want to read the speech on Republic Day in front of you all. First of all I would like to thank my class teacher, because of which I got a golden opportunity to say something about my beloved country on this great occasion of Republic Day on this stage of my school.

Since 15 August 1947, India is a self-governing country. India gained independence from British rule on August 15 in 1947, which we celebrate as Independence Day. However, from 1950 to 26 January we celebrate Republic Day. The Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950, so we celebrate this day every year as Republic Day. This year in 2020, we are celebrating India's 71st Republic Day.

Republic means that only the people have the right to choose their representatives as political leaders for the supreme power of the people living in the country and to lead the country in the right direction. Therefore, India is a republic country where people choose their leader as the Prime Minister. Our great Indian freedom fighters fought a lot for "Purna Swaraj" in India. He sacrificed his life so that his upcoming generation would not have to struggle and take the country forward. The great leaders and freedom fighters of our country are Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri etc. These people fought continuously against the British to make India a free country. We can never forget his dedication to our country. We should salute by remembering them on such great occasions. Only because of these people is it possible that we can think with our mind and live free in our nation without any pressure.

Our first Indian President was Dr. Rajendra Prasad who said, "Under the jurisdiction of a constitution and a union, we have got together the entire land of this vast land which is more than 320 crore men and women living here. Takes responsibility for welfare. How shameful it is to say that we are still fighting crime, corruption and violence (in the form of terrorism, rape, theft, riots, strike etc.) in our country. Again, everyone needs to be together to save the country from such slavery because it is pulling its country back from its mainstream of development and progress. To go ahead and solve them, we should be aware of our social issues like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, global warming, inequality etc.

Dr. Abdul Kalam has said that "If a country is freed of corruption and becomes a nation of beautiful minds, I feel strongly that there are three core members who can make a difference." He is a father, mother and a guru ”. As a citizen of India, we should think about it seriously and make all possible efforts to advance our country.

Thank you, Jai Hind.

Republic Day Speech - 3

I would like to say my morning greetings to my esteemed headmaster, teacher, teacher, and all my classmates. As we all know that we have gathered here to celebrate 66th Republic Day of our nation. This is a very auspicious occasion for all of us. Since 1950, we celebrate Republic Day with lot of joy and happiness every year. Before the start of the festival, our chief guests hoist the national flag of the country. After this we all stand and sing the national anthem which is a symbol of unity and peace of India. Our national anthem is written by the great poet Rabindranath Tagore.
Our national flag has a circle in the middle with three colors and 24 equal matchsticks. All three colors of the Indian national flag have their own meaning. The saffron color at the top shows the strength and courage of our country. The white color in the middle indicates peace while the green color at the bottom indicates growth and prosperity. In the center of the flag is a navy blue colored circle with 24 equal matchsticks which represents the Dharma Chakra of the great King Ashoka.

We celebrate Republic Day on 26 January because the Indian Constitution came into existence on this day in 1950 itself. In the Republic Day celebration, a big event is organized by the Government of India at Rajpath in New Delhi in front of India Gate. Every year, a chief guest (Prime Minister of the country) is called to fulfill the purpose of saying "Atithi Devo Bhava:" to increase the brightness of this festival. The Indian Army salutes the national flag along with the parade on the occasion. A large exhibition of Indian culture and tradition is also shown by different states to demonstrate unity in diversity in India.

Republic Day Speech - 4

I would like to say my morning greetings to my esteemed Principal, my teachers, my seniors and classmates. Let me give you some information about this special occasion. Today we are all celebrating the 71st Republic Day of our nation. It started celebrating in 1947, two and a half years after India's independence from 1950. We celebrate it every year on 26 January because the Constitution of India came into existence on this day. After gaining independence from British rule in 1947, India was not a self-governing country, ie not a sovereign state. India became a self-governing country when its constitution came into force in 1950.

India is a democratic country, which has no king or queen to rule here, although its people are the rulers here. Every citizen living in this country has equal rights, no one can become the Chief Minister or Prime Minister without our vote. We have the right to choose our best Prime Minister or any other leader to provide leadership in the right direction to the country. Our leader should have enough skill to think in favor of his country. He should think equally about all the states, villages and cities of the country so that India can become a well developed country without any discrimination, irrespective of race, religion, poor, rich, upper class, middle class, lower class, illiteracy etc.

Our leaders should be of a dominating nature in favor of the country, so that every officer can follow all rules and regulations properly. To make this country a corruption-free country, all authorities should follow the Indian rules and regulations. Only a corruption-free India with "unity in diversity" will be a genuine and true country. Our leaders should not think of themselves as a special person, because they are one of us and they are selected according to their ability to lead the country. He is chosen by us to give his true service to India for a limited interval. Therefore, there should be no dilemma between their importance and power and office.

As Indian citizens, we are also fully responsible towards our country. We should make ourselves regular, read the news and be aware of the events happening in the country, what is happening right and wrong, what our leaders are doing and first of all what we are doing for our country. Formerly, India was a slave country under British rule and gained independence after many years of struggle by the sacrifices of thousands of our freedom fighters. Therefore, we should not easily let go of all our valuable sacrifices and again let it not be a slave to corruption, illiteracy, inequality and other social discrimination. Today is the best day when we should pledge to preserve the true meaning, status, prestige and most important culture of our country.

Thank you, Jai Hind
